Nature Beings
Nature Beings is a collection of woven sculptural forms that give voice to the living presence of the Pacific Northwest. Each work emerges from a deep dialogue with place — shaped by my inner state of being and what is presented within a moment. The materials are gathered at specific sites and woven within the quiet of my studio, where a meditative state of awareness allows the spirit of the landscape to move through the process.
These works are created through what I call plein air weaving — a practice of attunement to the natural world. Each piece carries the memory of its origin, the resonance of place held within its fibers. In bringing these elements together, I seek to bring forth the invisible aspects of reality — to give form to what is felt but unseen.
Every sculpture is both an offering and a presence — a being shaped by collaboration between human and more-than-human forces. Each weaving comes from the same connection it reveals — a living communion between one form of consciousness and another.
